About Dr Brodie
MBBS (Hons) FRACGP
Dr Brodie is a Specialist General Practitioner based in Perth, Western Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2014, graduating with Honours from the University of Western Australia. She completed her internship and residency at Fiona Stanley, Fremantle and Rockingham General Hospitals before going on to complete specialist training in General Practice through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Brodie has completed the FPAA Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health and has done further training in Implanon and Intrauterine Device (IUD) insertion and removal. She is also able to administer iron infusions and perform minor procedures such as abscess drainage and wound suturing.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice with particular interest in;
Women’s health, including;
Sexual and reproductive health (including Implanon and IUD insertions and removal)
Menopause and perimenopause management
Family planning and early pregnancy care
Post natal care
Unplanned pregnancy counselling
Vulval skin conditions
Dermatology (skin health), including;
General skin care and management of common skin disorders (such as Acne, Rosacea and Eczema)
Skin cancer checks
Skin biopsies and excisions
Skin care advice and aesthetic medicine
Dr Brodie has completed the Australasian College of Dermatologists’ Certificate in Advanced Skin Cancer, and is doing further studies through the college to extend her general dermatology skills.
Dr Brodie also has an interest in aesthetic medicine and is now performing select procedures at Laser Skin Care Australia, including;
Laser treatment for vascular disorders, including Rosacea
IPL
Laser for pigmentation (brown spots)
Laser hair removal
Laser treatment for skin rejuvenation
Management of signs of sun damage and skin ageing, including wrinkles
When Dr Brodie is not at work she is busy chasing after her two young children and keeping her Burmese cat out of mischief. When she can find time she enjoys cooking, reading, sharing a good meal with friends and traveling.
